Red Scarf Project

Back in May, I posted a link to photos of my first completed knitting project over at TCF (now TMM). FreedomMonkey posted a reply, cluing me in to the Red Scarf Project. His wife knits scarves for this worthy cause, which gifts foster children enrolled in college with lovely Valentine’s Day care packages that include a homemade red scarf.

I thought it was such a cool thing to do, and I found this yummy maroon and black Lion’s Brand Wool-Ease yarn that I thought would knit up nicely. I completed my own Red Scarf Project this afternoon. It’s a 2knit, 2purl rib pattern and I used a size 15 needle. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Red Scarf

The scarf is a little shorter than I would’ve liked it to be, but it still very warm and snuggly.
